what free means in swish

The Mac fixer is free without an account. A free sign-in adds 10,000 AI characters a day. Here is what each path includes today.

by swish · · updated

Swish has two free ways to help you write on a Mac. You can fix spelling, grammar and punctuation on your device without making an account. If you sign in for free, you also get 10,000 AI characters a day.

start without an account

Install Swish, open it from Applications and follow the welcome steps. The local fixer is available without signing in. It works when you invoke Swish in a supported text field, so you can deal with a small mistake where you wrote it. Right Command is the default Swish key; two taps ask it to fix, and four taps undo the last change.

Some document editors need you to select the text first. Try a short, non-private sentence in a regular text box when you start. Swish is a Mac app for macOS 13 or newer; Windows and phone versions are not available today.

sign in for 10,000 AI characters a day

A free sign-in adds 10,000 AI characters a day. Rewriting counts every character; an AI fix counts a fifth of that, so the same allowance covers about 50,000 characters of AI fixing. Short edits cost little, so it is not a count of writes. Three taps open the petal picker for a tone such as friendly, shorter or professional. You can keep using the local fixer even after the daily AI allowance is used.

The free rewrite picker may show one small line labelled sponsored or sample. Swish does not use the words you write to choose that line.

what the paid buttons do today

The pricing page shows Plus, Pro and Max, but paid checkout is not open. Choosing a paid plan today asks for your email so Swish can let you know when it opens. It does not charge you.

If you only want to try the idea, start with the free local fix. Fix one sentence, read the change and decide whether it belongs in your writing day. just swish it. ✿

one small sentence is enough.
